The patch panel comes with a transmitter that you connect to a socket, for example in an office, and in the server room you can easily identify the cable position on this patch panel. A green LED will light up on the patch panel.
Another option is to identify free cables (without a connected device). In the server room, you connect the signal transmitter to the patch panel and if there is an active device at the end of the cable, a red LED will light up on the patch panel.
