Senzor SPS30 slouží pro měření kvality ovzduší, tj. znečištěné částicemi PM2.5 a PM10, a je přímo určený pro LAN ovladač LK3 a LK4.
Snímač používá techniku laserového rozptylu a má tak vysoké rozlišení, rychlou odezvu a možnost snadné integrace.
Senzor pevných částic (PM) SPS30 představuje nový technologický průlom v oblasti optických senzorů PM. Jeho princip měření je založen na laserovém rozptylu a využívá inovativní technologii společnosti Sensirion odolnou proti znečištění. Tato technologie spolu s vysoce kvalitními součástkami s dlouhou životností umožňuje přesné měření od prvního spuštění přístroje a po celou dobu jeho životnosti, která je delší než 8 let.
PM2.5 a PM10 označují pevné částice o průměru do 2,5 µm, resp. 10 µm, které patří mezi nejnebezpečnější látky znečišťující ovzduší. Částice PM2.5 mohou díky své malé velikosti pronikat hluboko do lidských plic a způsobovat řadu zdravotních problémů; například vyvolávat astmatické záchvaty nebo přispívat ke vzniku kardiovaskulárních onemocnění. Systém SPS30 umožní implementaci inovativních zařízení pro monitorování kvality ovzduší, která zabrání škodám způsobeným znečištěním ovzduší.
Snímač vykazuje nejlepší výkon/přesnost, pokud je provozován v doporučeném rozsahu normální teploty a vlhkosti (+10 až +40 °C a 20 až 80 % relativní vlhkosti).
