The KNOT LR8G is a compact, ready-to-use gateway for networks based on LoRa 868 MHz technology with enhanced reception sensitivity. It supports LTE CAT-M1 and NB2 mobile connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, GPS, and Ethernet with PoE, making it a flexible central hub for any IoT deployment.
The device allows simultaneous GPS and LTE CAT-M operation for accurate tracking of moving objects while maintaining an active connection. With low power consumption of just 6 W and compact dimensions of 122 × 87 × 26 mm, it’s ideal for installations where space, power, and budget are limited, but performance is critical.
Asset tracking in hospitals
Attach Bluetooth beacons to critical medical equipment. Install the KNOT LR8G in each storage area. As equipment moves, KNOT detects nearby tags, tracks location via GPS, and sends updates via LTE CAT-M.
Cold chain monitoring
Use wired Modbus sensors to monitor temperature and humidity inside refrigerated containers. KNOT converts Modbus to TCP and securely forwards data using MQTT or HTTPS over low-speed LTE or NB-IoT.
Agriculture and remote locations
Deploy KNOT to collect data from soil or weather sensors in remote areas. Thanks to wide band support, LoRa reception, and GPS compatibility, it is ideal for long-term, low-power data collection.
Industrial automation
Connect legacy wired sensors and actuators to the cloud. With DIN rail mounting support and GPIO monitoring, KNOT integrates easily into industrial cabinets or production environments.
