Senzor DS18B20UC je kompatibilní se standardními senzory DS18B20 a poskytuje přesné měření teploty v rozsahu -55 až +125 °C. Každý senzor obsahuje předprogramované unikátní sériové ID, což umožňuje připojení a čtení více senzorů na jedné sběrnici. Hliníková základna zajišťuje velmi rychlý přenos tepla k samotnému senzoru.
Zařízení je vybaveno miniaturním Push Wire konektorem pro kroucenou dvojlinku o průřezu až 0,5 mm² nebo tenčí vodiče, což umožňuje rychlou a snadnou instalaci v cílovém umístění. Obvod senzoru je chráněn pryskyřicí proti vlhkosti a mechanickému poškození s krytím IP44.
Technologie 1-Wire
Sběrnice 1-Wire umožňuje komunikaci s mnoha senzory pomocí jediného datového vodiče. Každý senzor má z výroby naprogramované unikátní 64bitové sériové číslo, které slouží jako jeho adresa na sběrnici.
Ochrana proti vlhkosti a mechanickému poškození
Obvod senzoru je chráněn vrstvou pryskyřice, která zajišťuje odolnost proti vlhkosti a mechanickému poškození. Pro zajištění trvalého spojení a odolnosti proti vlhkosti je doporučeno po připojení kabelu zabezpečit konektor technickou vazelínou.
Energetická účinnost
Senzor se vyznačuje mimořádně nízkou spotřebou energie – v pohotovostním režimu pouze 1 µA při 3 V a během převodu teploty jen 0,6 mA při 3 V, což jej předurčuje pro bateriově napájené aplikace a systémy s důrazem na energetickou efektivitu.
