Spolehlivý polovodičový senzor pro detekci oxidu uhelnatého (CO) a dalších nebezpečných hořlavých plynů v okolním vzduchu.
Modul senzoru MQ-9 je navržen pro měření koncentrace oxidu uhelnatého a hořlavých plynů s rozsahem měření 0 až 10 000 ppm. Výsledky měření lze získat měřením napětí na analogovém výstupu nebo využitím digitálního výstupu s nastavitelným prahem detekce. Senzor je vybaven 4pinovým konektorem s roztečí 2,54 mm pro snadné připojení k vývojovým platformám jako Arduino a Raspberry Pi.
Modul je ideální pro systémy detekce nebezpečných plynů v domácnosti, průmyslových aplikacích nebo v hobby projektech. Na rozdíl od zemního plynu a propan-butanu je oxid uhelnatý těžší než vzduch a nemá žádný zápach ani chuť, což z něj činí obzvláště nebezpečný plyn, který může způsobit otravu a v krajním případě i smrt.
Digitální výstup D0
Pomocí potenciometru umístěného na zadní straně desky lze nastavit prahovou hodnotu koncentrace plynu, při jejímž překročení se digitální výstup D0 změní z vysoké na nízkou úroveň. Tento výstup lze připojit přímo k mikrokontroléru, vývojovému kitu nebo např. k bzučáku, který bude signalizovat zvýšenou koncentraci nebezpečných plynů v ovzduší.
Analogový výstup A0
Senzor disponuje také analogovým výstupem A0, který by měl být připojen k A/D převodníku (analogovému vstupu např. v Arduino). To umožní přesnější měření koncentrace plynu pomocí proporcionálního napěťového signálu.
Ochrana před tichým zabijákem
Oxid uhelnatý je často označován jako „tichý zabiják“, protože je bez zápachu a chuti. Lidé vystavení jeho působení mohou pociťovat pouze příznaky ospalosti, bolesti hlavy a nevolnosti. Senzor MQ-9 poskytuje včasné varování před tímto nebezpečím a může být použit k aktivaci akustické či optické signalizace nebo k automatickému uzavření přívodu plynu.
