Central security and control hub for a complete smart home ecosystem with advanced AI features and local storage.
Tapo H500 represents a universal solution for managing up to 16 security cameras and 64 smart sensors in one system. Thanks to the built-in 16GB eMMC memory expandable up to 16 TB via a 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD drive, it provides massive capacity for local video recording storage without the need for cloud services and monthly fees.

The device is equipped with an advanced AI processor that enables facial recognition and intelligent detection of people, pets, and vehicles. The integrated 110dB siren ensures effective deterrence of intruders. As a Matter controller and bridge, it supports Matter 1.1 protocol and enables integration of Matter-certified devices into the Tapo ecosystem as well as their connection with other Matter-compatible platforms such as Amazon Alexa or Google Home.

Connectivity and Network Options
The device supports connection via Ethernet 10/100 Mbps and 5GHz Wi-Fi for router communication, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for camera connection, and Sub-1GHz frequency for smart sensors. This combination ensures stable and reliable connectivity of all system components.
Intelligent Management and Playback
In the Tapo app, you can view live streams from all cameras, play back event recordings, and review daily summaries. Events are automatically categorized by detection type (person, animal, vehicle, recognized face), enabling quick search for desired recordings.
Extended Features
USB sharing allows sharing of connected USB devices on the network. Buttons on the unit are used for accepting/declining calls from video doorbells, muting audio, and volume control. Reset button and SYNC button facilitate device management and pairing.
