The EAP603-Outdoor is designed for deployment in demanding outdoor environments where high standards of durability and wireless signal range are required. Two external omnidirectional antennas rated at 4 dBi (2.4 GHz) and 5 dBi (5 GHz) provide coverage of up to 200 m in the 2.4 GHz band and up to 300 m in the 5 GHz band. Wi-Fi 6 technology brings support for OFDMA, MU-MIMO, 1024-QAM, and HE80 for efficient simultaneous serving of a larger number of clients.
The device is powered via the 802.3at PoE+ standard or passive PoE (48 V, adapter included). Integration with the Omada SDN platform enables centralized cloud management, Omada Mesh support, and seamless roaming per 802.11k/v/r standards.
Network Security and Management
The EAP603-Outdoor supports WPA3-Personal/Enterprise, 802.1X authentication, MAC filtering, PPSK, and captive portal with multiple authentication methods (voucher, SMS, RADIUS, LDAP, external portal). Management is available via web interface, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, SSH, or the Omada app.
Advanced Wireless Features
The device offers automatic channel selection (ACS), band steering, airtime fairness, quality of service (QoS) management, multicast/broadcast management including multicast-to-unicast conversion, and rate limiting at the SSID and client level.
