CAN-Bus temperature sensor is an accessory developed specifically for all models of DC-DC converters with buckboost. The temperature is transmitted to the DC-DC buck-boost converter via a communication cable via the CAN bus communication ports. The CAN.bus temperature sensor can also be used in combination with any Victron Multi or Quattro. This allows the charging voltage to be regulated in accordance with the low temperature. For LiFePO4 systems, this sensor is essential in many system applications due to the fact that LiFePO4 batteries must not be charged if they are too cold. Charging lithium batteries at or around the freezing point will cause permanent damage to the cells.
