Non-invasive inductive sensor for measuring AC current up to 100 A with a voltage output of 1 V.
This current sensor allows simple and safe AC current measurement without interrupting the measured circuit. Just clamp it onto a single conductor and it will immediately provide a voltage output proportional to the flowing current. Thanks to the integrated burden resistor, it offers a direct 1 V AC output at a maximum current of 100 A.
The sensor is terminated with a standard 3.5 mm jack connector, making it easy to connect to Arduino platforms or other measurement systems. Ideal for energy consumption monitoring, home automation, or industrial applications.
Operating principle
The sensor operates on the principle of induction – it measures the magnetic field generated by AC current flowing through a conductor. For proper operation, the sensor must be clamped onto only one conductor (phase or neutral). If clamped over both conductors simultaneously, the magnetic fields will cancel out and the sensor will not indicate any value.
Practical applications
The sensor can be used to measure the power consumption of electrical appliances, monitor solar systems, or as part of smart meters. Thanks to the analog output, it can be connected to analog inputs of Arduino controllers or the LAN controller v3.
