Semiconductor SSR relay designed for smooth phase control of resistive loads.
This modern SSR (Solid State Relay) represents a reliable alternative to mechanical contactors for controlling the power of electrical appliances. Thanks to phase control, it enables smooth increase and decrease of the power of the connected resistive load, which significantly extends the lifetime of appliances and improves ease of control.
The relay is controlled by analog DC voltage 0-10V, with the effective operating range approximately between 5-10V (determined by the switching circuit function and sine wave shape). The device is rated for a nominal current of 25A and voltage of 250V AC, covering most common applications.
Advantages over mechanical contactors
SSR relay contains no moving parts that would be subject to mechanical wear. Therefore, it offers significantly higher reliability and longer service life than conventional mechanical contactors, especially in applications with frequent switching.
Applications of phase control
Phase control is ideal for regulating resistive loads such as heating elements, infrared heaters, lamps, or heating coils. It enables smooth power regulation without disturbing transients that occur during zero-cross switching.
Installation and cooling
The relay is equipped with a mounting clip for a standard DIN rail and comes with a heatsink that ensures effective dissipation of heat generated when switching higher currents. Proper heatsink installation is essential to ensure long-term reliability and full performance of the relay.
