Professional surge protector for UTP lines with PoE and Gigabit Ethernet support.
Surge protector designed to protect network equipment from transient overvoltage conditions. Large single surge events, such as lightning, can reach hundreds of thousands of volts and cause immediate or intermittent equipment failure. Lightning and power anomalies represent only 20% of voltage surges, the remaining 80% are caused internally. Although these surges are smaller, they occur more frequently and can damage sensitive electronic equipment over time.
The protector supports transmission speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbps including PoE (Power over Ethernet) and protects two wire pairs (1, 2 and 3, 6). The device is equipped with a grounding conductor for safe discharge of overvoltage to ground. Compact aluminum housing measuring 85 × 25 × 25 mm and weighing 80 g allows easy installation in any environment.
Protection and reliability
The device offers multi-level protection with a wide range of discharge current. Maximum discharge current between conductors and protective earth (PE) reaches 2 kA, while individual pairs are protected by 0.3 kA current. The impulse clamping voltage is lower than 20 V, ensuring effective protection of connected equipment.
Installation and construction
Compact aluminum housing with clear labeling allows easy identification and installation. Grounding is realized using an extension conductor. The protector is suitable for installation in distribution boxes, outdoor cabinets, or directly at the protected equipment.
