The GWN7721 switch features eight 2.5GbE RJ-45 ports and two 10G SFP+ ports, enabling the deployment of scalable and secure high-speed networks for small and medium-sized businesses. The device offers a total throughput of 40 Gbps and a switching capacity of 80 Gbps with a forwarding rate of 59.52 Mpps.
The switch supports advanced VLAN segmentation (up to 32 VLANs from 4K VLAN IDs), port-based VLAN, 802.1Q VLAN, and DHCP Snooping for secure network traffic separation. For performance optimization, it offers QoS with prioritization based on 802.1p and DSCP, bandwidth control, and IGMP Snooping for efficient multicast traffic. The device can be managed in three ways: locally via web interface, using GWN Manager, or remotely through the GDMS Networking cloud platform.
Advanced networking features
The switch supports 5 LAG groups for port aggregation, 16K MAC addresses, and jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes. Security is ensured by DHCP Snooping, Spanning Tree, loop prevention, and Kensington Security slot support.
Monitoring and management
The device offers SNMPv2 for remote monitoring, diagnostics, and configuration management. It supports LLDP protocol, MAC address lookup, port statistics, port mirroring, cable testing, and ping function.
Mounting and operating conditions
The switch can be installed on a desktop or wall-mounted. Operating temperature 0 to +45 °C, storage temperature -20 to +60 °C.
